“Putting the Spirit
Back in Kirkintilloch

Kirkintilloch was a dry town for 45 years ending in 1967. This had a catastrophic effect on the towns distilling heritage. The Spirit of Alba Gin & Whisky Festival is one step toward ‘putting the spirit back into Kirkintilloch’. Come and join us at our exciting inaugural event with over 25 distillers on show… gin, rum, whisky, vodka, even a crafty beer to enjoy! We’ll be meeting in the wonderfully refurbished Category ‘B’ listed Kirkintilloch Town Hall. It’s going to be a great day!

The redevelopment of the Hall focussed on the decision that it must become a centre for heritage, arts, culture and community use.

It is only proper then that the Town Hall hosts the inaugural ‘Spirit of Alba Gin & Whisky Festival’ bringing a long history of distilling back to the Kirkintilloch and East Dunbartonshire community.
